ADHA is the lead Commonwealth agency responsible for the strategic management of the National Digital Health Strategy, and steward of the national digital healthcare infrastructure (including My Health Record). Tasked with improving health outcomes for Australians through the delivery of digital healthcare systems and the National Digital Health Strategy for Australia, the Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) commenced operations on 1 July 2016.
The Agency is responsible for national digital health services and systems, with a focus on engagement, innovation, clinical quality, and safety. Our focus is on getting data and technology to work for patients, consumers and the healthcare professionals who look after them.
Your Expertise
This vital role requires technology leadership at an enterprise scale, with demonstrated alignment to the scope, complexity, and pace of the ADHA environment. Expert-level business and technology capability with diverse stakeholder collaboration, multiple external provider dependencies, numerous and complex projects, and values-driven leadership that inspires and empowers teams is essential.
You will be a strong technologist, with demonstrated technology program delivery and long-term infrastructure partner collaboration experience at a CTO/CIO-like level. You will possess deep vendor management expertise with global tech partners, and with clarity and transparency, have a history of managing performance, contracts and relationships, at scale. You will also have budget management capabilities and knowledge of technology project build and sustainment cost estimation. You will couple this strong set of technical capabilities with a demonstrated record of contemporary, strategic leadership and a desire to and/or prior engagement in improving the health and well-being of Australians.
Suitable candidates will possess relevant technology qualifications and experience from diverse sectors (non-government, consulting, and more).
The Agency offers an attractive total remuneration package at SES Band 1 $234,180 - $285,491 (inclusive of salary, 10.5% superannuation and with flexible working conditions), depending upon skills and experience. The appointment will be under a Common Law contract on a permanent basis.
