Kendall Ryan
Chief Financial Officer
Kendall Ryan is Group Chief Financial Officer at Hudson, responsible for the financial stewardship of the business across ANZ. Since joining Hudson in 2002, Kendall has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy, risk management, and operational efficiency. His remit spans everything from P&L oversight and cash flow management to corporate compliance and forecasting ensuring Hudson runs as a financially sound, scalable and resilient organisation.
Kendall’s career began at PWC in 1989, where he built a strong foundation in audit and earned his CA qualification. He went on to join Qantas during its transition from government to private ownership via an IPO, contributing to a cross-functional team tasked with improving operational efficiency and profitability across the business. He later worked at Guinness in the UK, where he specialised in commercial pricing and modelling across both retail and hospitality channels.
At Hudson, Kendall has led major transformation initiatives, including a strategic review of the ANZ business in the mid-2000s that resulted in the divestment of non-core operations and a sharper go-to-market focus. He has also driven innovation in performance tracking, introducing dashboard-style reporting that enabled more objective forecasting and individual accountability, a precursor to today’s data-led workforce planning.
Kendall continues to champion continuous improvement across the business, with a focus on extracting value from sunk costs, optimising support functions, and enabling long-term growth.
What motivates Kendall most is seeing people succeed. He is passionate about creating a collaborative environment where individuals can grow their careers and takes pride in supporting talent across all areas of the business from early career professionals to future leaders.
