Josephine Calabria

As Head of Growth - Government for UpperGround by Hudson Josephine helps government clients across Australia and New Zealand find the specialist tech talent they need to deliver on their digital agendas. With a background in consulting and a deep understanding of emerging technologies, she brings a strategic lens to every hiring challenge. 

Before joining Hudson in 2024, Josephine was Director of AI Enabled Automation at EY, where she led complex AI and automation projects for government clients. She’s also the current Board Chair of Women in ICT (WIC), a not-for-profit advocating for gender equity in tech. Under her leadership, WIC runs impactful programs like work experience placements for girls in Years 9–12, helping shape the next generation of tech talent. 

Josephine’s career has been defined by bold moves, three pivotal leaps that accelerated her growth and shaped her leadership style. She’s passionate about preparing the workforce of the future and creating more inclusive pathways into tech. 

She’s spoken at events including Ivanti Live, IBM Women + AI, and WIC forums, and is energised by challenges that push her out of her comfort zone. Above all, she’s driven by the opportunity to help teams thrive and deliver meaningful outcomes.
