Angela Powell

Angela Powell leads Hudson’s specialist Technology and Projects team in Queensland, delivering recruitment solutions to one of our longest-standing clients — the Queensland Government. She also manages Hudson’s relationships and compliance across key Federal Government panels, including People Panel 2 and Digital Marketplace 2. 

Angela joined Hudson in 2012 and brings over two decades of experience in recruitment, starting in IT recruitment in 1998 and earlier in business support roles in London. She’s also worked as a recruitment coach and consultant, helping organisations and individuals improve hiring practices. 

Angela is passionate about building high-performing, supportive teams and mentoring others to achieve more than they thought possible. Her leadership is grounded in equity, inclusion and flexibility with a strong focus on spotlighting under-represented talent, including First Nations candidates, women returning to work, and neurodiverse professionals. 

She volunteers with Future Women’s Jobs Academy, speaking at virtual job fairs and mentoring candidates on resumes and interviews. Angela’s expertise spans technology recruitment, diversity strategy, leadership mentoring, and Reconciliation Action Plans, all driven by a belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive at work. 

What motivates Angela most is seeing people exceed their own expectations and knowing her work helped make that happen.
