Cyber Security Consultant

Working closely with our Security and Compliance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing control systems to identify and assess possible compliance risks the evolution the companies practices to ensure our business remains a cutting-edge leader of the cyber security field. Additionally, you will use your passion for cyber security to provide compliance consultancy and client support.

You will be responsible for:

Contribute to development risk mitigation strategies by developing and upholding information security policies, standards and procedures

Analyse business needs and recommend effective solutions to meet user and business objectives

Conduct internal audits and review system security architecture and security designs to ensure compliance with relevant information security legislation, standards, guidelines and policies

Prepare and document security policies, plans, and procedures as required by relevant security governance frameworks

Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and risks and provide advice on mitigation strategies to Company management and key stakeholders

Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement

Provide support and guidance to project teams, Company management and clients to ensure impeccable customer service is achieved

Provide external governance, risk and compliance consultancy and audits to clients as required

Collaborate with project teams to ensure product and services meet mandatory security requirements

Advanced planning and report writing skills

Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques and protocols

Knowledge in IT auditing processes, methodologies and information systems.

Knowledge in IT Project Management, Governance and Risk Management

Strong knowledge in Policy and Standards e.g. IRAP Compliance

Knowledge in cyber security audit frameworks, Policy and Standards e.g. ISO 27000, PCI DSS required

Tertiary qualification in an IT related field desired

This position may require interstate or international travel
