Resumes can be structured in different ways and you should choose the resume format most suitable to:

  • your experience
  • the role you are applying for

The 3 most common resume formats are:

Reverse Chronological

A reverse chronological resume emphasises responsibilities and achievements throughout time, commencing with your most recent role

Functional

A functional resume emphasises skills and abilities and de-emphasises chronology

A one page career summary resume is a snapshot presented as a single page career summary.

    • Focus on what is most important for the role you are applying for and tailor your resume to suit each job application.
